Alice Linda Silverstein, of Manchester, passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 83.  Beloved wife of Edwin Silverstein.  Loving mother of Gena Ford and her husband Dave, and Jack Silverstein.  Cherished grandmother of Brandon, Danielle, Ryan, and Alexa.  Dear sister of Frances Jacobs.  Alice is reunited with her beloved parents, Morris and Tillie, as well as her late daughter, Lori.

Born in Brooklyn in 1940, Alice moved to New Jersey after marrying Edwin, where they would raise their family.  In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling with her family, cruises in particular.  Anyone who knew Alice will remember her love of going to casinos, Broadway shows, and playing Mahjong.  A woman with a big heart and a great sense of humor, she could often be found making people laugh and giving great advice.  Alice also loved going out to eat, whether it be to a local diner or one of her favorite steak houses.  Most of all, she was always dedicated to her family and friends, whom she loved to entertain as often as possible.  Above all else, her grandchildren had a very special place in her heart.

The family will receive guests for Shiva on Wednesday, August 23 between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the house of Gena and Dave.  Donations may be made in Alice’s name to the Lupus Foundation. www.lupus.org
