General Information

Full Name: Arthur Charles Rush
Date of Death: Friday, November 4, 2022

Arthur Rush passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022 with his wife and children by his side. He was generous, kind, and loving, not to mention brilliant, driven, and self-made.

He was born on March 31, 1935, to parents Jack and Minnie Rush. He, along with his two older siblings, Charlotte and Harold, were raised in Bayonne, NJ. After putting himself through school at Stevens Institute of Technology, where he studied electrical engineering, he began, what would be, a very impressive 30-year career in the computer field. In 1962, he married the love of his life, Myrna. Together, they raised three children, two daughters, Helaine and Wendy, and a son, Robert, all while he founded and ran, as President, two successful computer companies. His companies, the latest being “Control Transaction Corporation”, focused on servicing the hospitality industry with point of sale systems.

Arthur spent his life post-retirement surrounded by family, as nothing gave him greater pleasure. He also enjoyed dining out, watching sports, traveling, and fixing anything in need of repair.

To him, his legacy and life’s meaning was his family-his wife of 60 years, Myrna; his children and their spouses, Helaine and Florian Suserman, Wendy and Darin Kossin, and Robert and Ayeda Rush; his grandchildren, Melissa and her husband Jordan Epstein, Michael Suserman, Brandon and Melanie Kossin, Joseph, Jacob, and Jenna Rush; and his great-grandchildren, Justin and Hunter Epstein.

Services were held privately with family. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his name.
