Linda Alania Flaster of Fort Lee, NJ, formerly of the Bronx and Pomona, NY, passed away peacefully on October 11th, 2024 at the age of 78. 

Linda’s radiant smile and vibrant spirit brought light and joy to everyone who knew her.  She was a fiercely protective and endlessly loving mother and grandmother, a wonderful wife, and a dedicated pilates and dance instructor who inspired her students to embrace movement and wellness throughout her life.  

She was a beloved mother to Michael and Janel and the incomparable “Grandma Linnie” to Ariel, Chloe, Alessandra, and Nathaniel, who were the lights of her life.  She was adored by her husband of 31 years, Jeffrey Flaster, and loved beyond measure by her daughter-in-law, Janie, son-in-law, Jeff, and her Spanish family, step-daughter Caroline, Sam, Luca and Rio.  

A funeral service will be held in her honor at Louis Suburban Chapel in Fair Lawn, NJ, on Monday, October 14th, at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Linda’s remarkable life, and to find joy and inspiration in her loving memory. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Linda’s memory. Some of the institutions and organizations that Linda supported include St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Alzheimer’s Association, CancerCare, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the ASPCA.   

Linda will be profoundly missed, but her light will shine on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.
