Betty was born Betty Mae Norbury in Charlestown, MD to Alan and Helen until she moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania at age 10, where she lived throughout her childhood together with her beloved sister, Nancy and brothers, William and Robert.  Betty was quite proud of her days as a magician’s assistant from age 17 to 21.   In 1952, she met the  love of her life, Jack George Bloomberg and they were married in November of that year until jack’s death on February 1, 2019.While living in Teaneck, New Jersey, Betty worked for Jack’s TV production firm as a set photographer and make-up artist.  She also worked and helped in the Bloomberg family lamp business, specifically the store in Teaneck, New Jersey.  She was adored by friends and family as a happy and easy- going person, loving the life she and Jack built together.

Betty is survived by her two daughters, Shelly Peskin and Linda Day and son-in-laws, Arthur Peskin and Ron Day, grandson, Thomas Sawyer and granddaughter April Rivera and husband Steve Rivera  along with grandchildren, Mitchell and Wendy Peskin, Shari and Steve Fish, Michele and Timothy Greco, Pam and Ike Koutrakos and great grandchildren, Jordana, Melissa, Jayme, Danielle, Jake, Samantha, Colby, Haley, Sienna, Peyton, Liam and Dennis, and 2 brothers William and Robert Clayton.

We would like to thank all of the friends and family for their kind words and the staff at Presidential Place in Hollywood, Florida for their great care and kindness to Betty.
