Dorrance Z. Adams (nee Zwick), age 85, of Oradell, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023. Dorrance was born on September 13, 1937 in Youngstown, Ohio, to Lester and Celia Zwick. In 1943, when she was 7, her parents moved to Boston MA.  After graduating High School in 1955, she attended Boson University. She married in July of 1956. In her Junior year at BU, she left her studies to start a family. They made a number of cross county moves, starting with Los Angeles CA in 1960 and ending with Demarest NJ in 1966. While raising her children she went back to school to complete both her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Education from Fairleigh Dickenson University. Living in Hackensack NJ, she worked as a Business Education
teacher at Hackensack High School for over 25 years. She instilled in her children the lesson that you are never too old to achieve your goals.
She is survived by her sons, Steven (Joanne) and Scott and by her 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth,
David, Tyler, and Grayson.
