Edythe M. Golish (“Edy”), 82, of Mahwah, passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 3, 2021, following a terminal illness. Born in Jersey City in 1939, she grew up in Teaneck before raising four devoted children in Wyckoff. Edy is survived by her children: Robin (David), Steven (Corinne), Glen (Rosa), and Tracey (Darrell), and eight adoring grandchildren: Kareem, Ariella, Leora, Shoshana, Yosef, Samantha, Lucas, and Marisa. Edy is survived as well by her siblings: Barbara, Richard, and Marjorie.
Edy loved her career as a designer where her creativity could bring a client’s vision to life. She was dedicated to helping newly single friends connect with others in similar situations through interventions, referrals, and personal gatherings. She was responsible for building networks and lasting connections which benefitted all. Her clients became good friends. Edy loved animals, nature, and food. She cherished the time she spent with her family and close friends. One of her greatest joys was to share a meal with her family and friends and hand out lottery tickets to all. She was always the first to arrive at family gatherings, and the last to leave. She will be remembered for her kindness, sweetness, and overall good-natured way of viewing the world. She was loved by all who met her and will be dearly missed.
