Dr Emanuel (Manny) Shapiro, passed away from pneumonia on Dec.8th. He graduated from CCNY, earned a PhD from Purdue, published multiple articles, was certified at the PGC in individual and group psychotherapy- he received a lifetime achievement award & the Asya Kadis Award and supervision. He was a Diplomate of the Amer. Psychotherapy Assoc, officer in EGPS and a Fellow of AGPA. His warmth and sense of humor touched all who knew him-family, friends, patients, colleagues, doctors and acquittances alike. He is survived by his wife-Barbara, children-Sima & Jesse, grandchildren–Zachary, Ilan, Leo and Sarah and brother Ira. Service 1PM at Beth-el Paramus. Donations to JNF Trees.
