We are so sorry to learn of the passing of Evan. Evan was my AEPi fraternity brother at Lehigh University. I had not seen him for many years until five years before Covid when Gayle and I joined a bowling league, and I was surprised to see his name on the screen. We recognized each other right away and were reminiscing until someone reminded us that it was time to start bowling! Evan was a lot of fun, a real gentleman, and a mensch. We send our prayers and condolences to Carol, Abby, Rick, and families. He will be missed.

I was very shocked and saddened to read of Evan’s sudden passing. I’ve know him since I met him back in the fifth grade at Cherry Hill School in River Edge. We had a lifelong bond of being of the same relative height and being posed next to/near each other for class photos right through RDHS ’80 reunions (where I got to meet Carol) and being diehard Mets/Jets fans! I’ll miss Evan’s FB posts but will always remember his positive good natured personality. As Michael stated, Evan was truly a mensch. My prayers and condolences to Carol, Abby, Rick, and families.

Evan was the father of one of my hitting students, Jon. We immediately became friends. He was so dedicated to his children. Any time we met, whether it was at a hitting session, in town, at one of Jon’s ball games or track meets, I always walked away learning something new.
My heart goes out to Jon, and his entire family. I’ll miss our talks.
