Roslyn Vivian Alberg Berman passed away peacefully at home on September 14th after a long illness.
Roz was born on August 29, 1930 to Isaac and Pauline Alberg and raised in The Bronx. In 1957, Roz
married Myron Berman, who survives her. Their marriage was a wonderful example of love and respect
through good times and bad.

The family ultimately settled in Park Ridge, New Jersey in 1961, with daughter, Marla and son, Ira. Roz
always said she loved her home in Park Ridge and wished to live the rest of her life there; and she did.

For Roz, family was paramount — and not just her immediate family. Her home became the central
gathering point for her family and her sisters’ families. Everyone who attended these events doubtless
holds them dearly in memory.

Roz is survived by her husband of 64 years, Myron; daughter Marla Lewitus and her husband Ricardo;
son Ira and his wife Helen Borrello; grandchildren Polly Berman, Justin Lewitus and Annie Berman.

The family was blessed to have the most loving, expert caregivers imaginable throughout Roz’s long
illness: First Yvonne Johnson, then Sandra Agnetevi. They have been a blessing to Roz and her family.

The funeral will be 1:30 pm on Sunday, September 18 at Louis Suburban Jewish Chapel, 13-01 Broadway,
Fair Lawn, NJ 07410. The family will observe Shiva at 14 King Road, Park Ridge, NJ 07656 from Sunday,
September 18 through Thursday, September 22 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The family requests that those
wishing to make a donation in Roz’s memory donate to an organization that supports individuals with
dementia and their families.
