Janet B. Laufer, age 77, a former long time resident of Fair Lawn NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday night, September 6, 2024. Janet was born in Hartford, CT and lived White Plains, NY until moving to Fair Lawn, NJ.

Prior to her retirement she was an elementary school teacher for many years in the Englewood NJ school system.
Janet graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor’s degree in education and later earned her master’s degree in the same field.

She is predeceased by her husband Joel Laufer in 2016. Janet is survived by a daughter Tanya Crusco and her husband Joe, a son Michael Laufer and his wife Tracy, a sister, Bobbi Berens, three grandchildren, Joey Crusco, Alexis and Jacob Laufer.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652.

Memorial donations in memory of Janet B Laufer may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
