River Edge, NJ – Judith (Judy) D. Richard of River Edge, NJ, passed away peacefully on
Saturday, December 26, 2020, at the age of 88, after a battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the
late Robert Richard. Devoted mother of April Vidor and her husband Peter of Randolph, NJ,
Serena Richard and her husband Roger Skelton of Manhattan, and Reed Richard and his wife
Annette of Wakefield, RI. Cherished grandmother of Alexander and Jordan Vidor, and Emma
and Alison Richard. Dear sister of Marcia Lorberfeld of Wilmington, NC. Born to Jacob (Jack)
and Rebecca (Betty) Becker and raised in Brooklyn, Judy lived in River Edge for more than six
decades and was a member of Temple Avodat Shalom of River Edge for over fifty years. She
was an active founding and life member of River Dell Hadassah, which honored her as a Woman
of the Year. Judy was a talented commercial artist and watercolorist whose paintings won
numerous prizes in NJ and NY. She was a long-time member of the Pascack Art Association in
Washington Township, NJ. An elegant woman, avid reader, world-traveler, and a loyal friend,
Judy will be missed by all who knew her. Memorial donations in memory of Judy Richard may
