General Information

Full Name: Marvin Ira Diner
Date of Death: Sunday, August 11, 2024

Marvin Ira Diner, of Fair Lawn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, at the age of 76.  Beloved husband of the late Anne Diner.  Devoted father of Leslie Diner and Jeffrey Diner and his wife, Kayla.  Cherished grandfather of Angelina Diner.  Marvin is also survived by his long-time partner, Anna Paci.

Marvin was born in 1948.  He was raised in North Bergen, before settling in Fair Lawn, where he and Anne raised their family.  Marvin graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and spent his career as an engineer.  He was a long-time member of the Knights of Pythias, Grand Lodge Knights of Pythias, and the Fair Lawn Democrats.  He will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him for his love of animals, the Jersey shore, and cooking.  Above all else, Marvin loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved granddaughter, Angelina, whom he made time for by any means necessary.  Marvin had such a love of serving others, which was evident in the countless charity organizations he donated his time to, as well as all the catering he did after retirement.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Marvin’s honor to the Knights of Pythias Charity Foundation.  Please mail all donations to 18-06 Calabrese Place, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410.

My deepest condolences for the family and loved ones who have lost such a wonderful person in their lives. I only knew Marvin for a short time while he would gather with friends and family for pool parties and BBQ’s at Lisa O’Dierno’s house. Marvin was always polite and a try gentleman ..( I believe some would call him a mensch) He was kind hearted and soft spoken and very respectful of others around him. He will be missed and life will never be the same without him! May he rest in peace. Our prayer and love go out to the family of Marvin Ira Diner.
