Milton Stern, age 93, of Fair Lawn, NJ, formerly of Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday night December 29, 2021.  Beloved husband of Carmel Stern.  Devoted father of Susan Knapp, and her husband Jeff, Dr. Sharon Stern, and the late Dr. Philip Stern.  Proud and devoted grandfather of Jason Knapp, Tara Knapp, Heather Knapp, Rachel Stern, Dr. Roger Stern, and Nicholas Stern.  Father in law of Dr. Diana (Jing) Stern.  Brother of Annette Gersh.  Prior to his retirement Milton was a police officer in New York City and afterwards with his wife Carmel operated a group of retail clothing stores. He was a member of the Police Benevolent Association. Memorial donations in memory of Milton Stern may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, stjude.org/donate.
