Philip Wiesenfeld, age 86, passed away on July 18, 2023. Phil was born in Manhattan, the oldest child of Aaron and Dorothy Wiesenfeld. He grew up in Far Rockaway, NY, and moved to Brooklyn when he married his wife, Sandra. He graduated from Brooklyn College and passed the CPA exam. In 1974, he moved to Fair Lawn, NJ, where he raised his children and lived for 49 years. 

Phil began his career in public accounting, and then worked as comptroller for White Chemical Corporation and the Housing Authority of the City of Elizabeth.

He was an avid stamp collector, attending many stamp shows over the years. He also loved gardening, spending many happy hours growing all kinds of plants including lilacs, roses, tomatoes, and raspberries. His favorites in his garden were the pussy willows and silver dollars, which he joyfully gave as gifts to friends and family every year, and his prized Southern Magnolia tree. 

Phil was preceded in death by his son Andrew, his brother Joel, and his sister Fredda. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sandra, his daughter, Lori, his son-in-law, Mark, his daughter-in-law, Leslie, his beloved grandchildren, Nicole, Josh, and Theo, and his brother, Lester.
