Philip A. Zimmerman, age 94, of Fair Lawn passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 2, 2022.  Beloved husband of Maxine Zimmerman for 71 years. Devoted father of Hope Danon and her husband Gary Breitling, and Stephen Zimmerman (deceased) and his wife Judi. Proud grandfather of Talia Danon, Ilan Danon and his wife Julia Danon, and Joshua Zimmerman. Prior to his retirement he was one of the founders of the highly regarded New York CA firm of Paneth, Haber, and Zimmerman, and it’s managing partner for 27 years.  After his retirement, he became the first CPA mediator and arbitrator in NJ for the American Arbitration Association.  Phil was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.  He was a graduate of Baruch College (BBA) and NYU (MBA).  Phil loved to play tennis and bridge and was an avid reader of newspapers and books.
