Sabrina Jean Spector Smith, age 50, of Hawthorne, NJ, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Beloved wife of Jeremy Smith. Cherished daughter of Sal and Gay Spector. Dear daughter-in-law of Michael and Marilyn Smith. Loved so much by: sister Nadine Spector; sister Stacy Gerstenfeld and her husband David; brother-in-law Adam Smith and his wife Andrea; and brother-in-law Joel Smith and his wife Laureen. Adoring aunt to Alex, Julia, Matthew and Ariana. Cherished by dear friends.

Sabrina grew up in River Vale, NJ and graduated from Pascack Valley High School in Hillsdale, NJ in 1991. She attended the University of Hartford and graduated from William Paterson University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Sabrina devoted her life’s work to educating special needs children with autism. She loved cats, especially Ginger, who she had for nearly 20 years. She was a voracious reader and loved spending time at parks and beaches. She was a wonderful dancer and an accomplished pianist, and she loved music, especially the band Fleetwood Mac. Sabrina loved spending time with friends and family, and she loved to laugh and to make others laugh.

Due to road construction, entrance to the funeral home’s cross street (Cyril Ave.) is currently closed.  Please proceed to the intersection before or after the funeral home (Florence Pl. or Kenneth Ave.) and drive around the block to approach Cyril Ave. from the opposite direction.  The funeral home parking lot is at the end of Cyril Ave. on the left.
