Sheila Scholack, (nee Caplan), age 77, of Hackensack, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2022.  Beloved wife of Joel for almost 52 years.  Devoted mother of Heather Scholack and her husband Robert Strosberg, and Mark Scholack and his wife Karyn.  She was the loving Grammy to Henry, Devin, and Mila.  Dear sister of Marilyn Caplan.  Sheila worked as a synagogue administrator at Congregation Shomrei Emunah in Montclair, NJ, for over a decade.  Originally from Montreal, Canada, Sheila moved to NYC when she married Joel in 1970.  Her many interests included cooking and baking for her family and friends.  As an avid “foodie” she was well known for sharing her dining out recommendations and her recipes.
