Abraham Mendelson (known fondly as Victor) passed away on December 18th, 2025.
Born May 10, 1935 in Brooklyn, he married the love of his life, Susan Rubin, and they had a loving 60 year marriage. Victor graduated from Brooklyn Law School and worked as an entertainment attorney at RCA records. In his heart, he loved being a husband and father. He loved singing and dancing – and if asked (and sometimes not asked!), he would get up and sing for friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife Susan and daughter Shari.
Services celebrating his life will be held at 11:30 on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah Chapel, Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652.
The family will be sitting Shiva at the home of Susan and Vic, immediately following the entombment until 7:00 PM on Sunday. The Shiva period will continue Monday, December 22 thru Thursday, December 25, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM and from 7:00 – 8:30 PM each day. Friends and relatives are welcome to join the family during these times.
Memorial donations in memory of Victor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

I remember Victor for his loving heart, his contagious smile , and yes, his impromptu bit of song or dance.. but most of all, I remember his devotion to Susan and Shari ! His commitment to making their lives happy and secure and he and Susan’s roles as devoted club fans for Shari’s many fabulous gigs!
