Anita Esther Simon, 87, a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025 in Somerset, New Jersey.

She was born in Newark, New Jersey, on January 28, 1938. She was a graduate of Irvington High School. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Bernard Simon, in 1998. She was a member of Hadassah and Sisterhood at the Elmwood Park Jewish Center. She loved watching Wheel of Fortune every night, playing Bingo at Somerset Woods, and attending musicals, plays and concerts. Anita was predeceased by her son David Simon in 2022 and grandson Tyler Landesman in 1991.

She is survived by her brothers Bernard (and sister-in-law Ona) Bregman and Norman Bregman, her children: daughters Carol (and son-in-law Glen) Landesman and Doreen Simon, and son Brian Simon, granddaughters and their spouses Dana (and Leigh) Green, Tara (and Craig) Senft, Ashley Landesman, and Jenna Landesman, as well as her great-grandsons Landon Green and Colin Green, and great-granddaughter Kaia Senft.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on October 22 at Louis Suburban Chapel, 13–01 Broadway, Fairlawn, New Jersey.
Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery, 12 Market St., Saddlebrook, NJ.
