The world lost a wonderful man yesterday. My Uncle Art was not just my dad’s older brother, but he helped raise my dad. I have many special memories with my Uncle Art, but one that stands out is when we recently went to visit and he played cards with Savannah. Savannah loved the automatic card shuffler and when we arrived home from our trip my Uncle Art and Aunt Marlene had ordered one for her. You will be missed Uncle Art.
R.I.P. Arthur.
I know Harvey Gerber, his cousin, and my later husband, would have been able to write about their growing up. I knew Arthur through the stories Harvey told, and our one meeting, which was a joyous reunion for the cousins and a lovely afternoon. He sounds a wonderful person, lively and accomplished, and I am sure will be missed by his family and many friends.
