The entire Barile Family loved Artie. The boys fondly remember him as their coach; Artie will live forever in our hearts, most likely with the vision of him yelling Run, Danny, Run…Being families of 3 sons we were connected. Ken and I will never forget the knock on our front door one Sunday afternoon. It was Artie. He had heard that we were having a tough time dealing with the whole college/ scholarship application stuff and , on his own, he came over to talk with us, explaining what we needed to know. Who does that? It was such a kind and generous gesture of his time. Plus, Artie had a great laugh! RIP to our friend but also to a husband, father and grandfather. You will be missed!

My relationship with Art began in the mid 1970’s when he told me that he was opening his own accounting business and he would appreciate me becoming a client. That began a long working relationship that always felt like it wasn’t just business, that he was a friend. Whenever I left a meeting with him I left in a better mood than before I saw him. Art always seemed to be in good mood and he would always have stories and corny jokes to share. Arthur may be gone but never forgotten. I know I will never forget him. WHAT A GUY. Rest in peace my friend.
