General Information
Full Name: Brian David Lang
Date of Death: Thursday, February 5, 2026
Brian David Lang, 33 years old, left us far too soon on Thursday, February 5th, 2026, creating an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. Brian was born on Thanksgiving Day in Pompton Plains in 1992, spending his younger years in Totowa and Wayne, before eventually settling down in Clifton.
Brian created a beautiful family with his adoring wife Briana, the love of his life. He was a dedicated dog-dad to his two beloved pups, Lucille and Otis. Brian loved deeply and unconditionally, fiercely loyal to anyone in his inner circle. Brian was a role model to his younger brother and best friend, Adam; he loved to guide Adam through life and cherished all the memories they shared together. The power of music was so present in Brian, and he felt most alive relishing in his favorite classics, such as The Grateful Dead and Phish, and finding new bands and concerts to share with his loved ones. On a perfect day you could find Brian with a home-brewed cup of coffee, cuddling with Briana, Otis and Lucy, savoring novels, comic books, and science-fiction stories. If you knew Brian, you knew his unwavering support of his sports teams; no matter how much agony the Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Braves, and New York Giants put him through, he showed up time and time again to cheer them on. Brian loved playing basketball, video games, and Magic the Gathering, and created a strong community in each filled with friends who loved, supported, and uplifted him.
His absence is felt deeply by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Brian is lovingly remembered by his wife Briana Stanfield, mother Paula, father Kenneth, brother Adam and Adam’s girlfriend Ali Kaminski, mother-in-law Cheryl (Ruby) Stanfield, father-in-law Jim Stanfield, and sister-in-law Vanessa Stanfield. Brian is predeceased by grandparents Linda and Benjamin Warsaw and Adell and Gerhard Lang.
Donations can be made in Brian’s memory to the American Cancer Society or National Brain Tumor Society.
