Eleanor “Elly” Dall (née Abramowitz), of Whippany, NJ (formerly of Paterson, NJ and Pembroke Pines, FL), passed away on March 21, 2026, just shy of her 100th birthday.

 

Beloved wife of the late Bernard Dall. Devoted mother of Donna Davis, Nancy Dall, and Sandy Rothstadt. Cherished grandmother of Jesse Davis, Nikki Williams, David Rothstadt, Sonia Rothstadt, Veronica Guzman, and Matilde Guzman. Loving great-grandmother to Nyah and Charlotte Davis, Sylvia and Owen Williams, and Romy Rothstadt. She was predeceased by her parents, Rebecca and Nathan Abramowitz, her brother, Jerome York, and her sister, Florence Olshan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

 

A graduate of Newtown High School (Class of ’44), Eleanor was a lifelong entrepreneur and community leader. She managed musical acts, worked in retail and direct sales, and served as President of the YMYWHA of Paterson Women’s Club and the Barnert Hospital Women’s Auxiliary.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 25, at Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn, NJ, with burial to follow at Beth Israel Memorial Park, Woodbridge, NJ.

 

Shiva will be held at the home of Garry and Sandy Rothstadt on Wednesday from 6:30–9:00 PM and Thursday from 1:00–4:00 PM and 6:30–9:00 PM, with minyan services at 7:00 PM each evening.
