Flora Sylvia Camhi, 87, of Bergen County, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025.

Born on October 3, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY, to Julius and Pauline (Isaacson) Schmier. Flora was the eldest of five siblings and a beloved matriarch.  Flora resided in Bergen County for over 20 years, where her warmth and devotion touched countless lives.

Flora was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as a devoted aunt, cousin, friend, and colleague. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and deep family connection.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachelle Danto, and son-in-law, Paul, along with their children, Jessica and Reuben; her son, Neil Camhi, and his children, Alex (May) and their son Yiden, and Jessica (Jenn); her brothers, Abram Schmier (Raquelle) and Albert Schmier (Marcia); and her sister, Gale Hirsh (David) along with many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her sister, Esther Rubinstein (Max), and her granddaughter, Jenna Camhi.

Flora’s strength, kindness, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
