General Information

Full Name: Henry Neuhof
Date of Death: Sunday, August 10, 2025

Following his passing on August 13, 2025, and held in the embrace of his family, his children wish to honor the life and memory of a man whose story began in Brooklyn, New York. His parents, Adele Neuhof and Samuel Neuhof, arrived from Europe post–World War II aboard the ship Samaria, bringing with them a legacy of resilience, resourcefulness, and courage that would shape the generations to come.

Henry’s childhood was filled with stickball games, egg creams, enduring friendships, Camp Pontiac, and memorable cross-country drives. Despite university studies in physical therapy and Aeronautics, Henry followed his entrepreneurial spirit and became self-employed.

He met his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Ellen Neidel, and they married on September 8, 1968. They built their life together in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, on a quiet cul-de-sac where the only sound was the local train passing behind their home.

Henry, along with his wife Ellen, founded and operated  Capitol Search Domestic Staffing for over 40 years, working side by side with dedication and integrity. Known professionally as Bob Sanders, Henry was admired for his warmth, quick wit, and business acumen. Together, they built lasting relationships with domestic staff from diverse backgrounds and connected them with the jobs and resources they needed to thrive.

Beloved by all who knew them, Henry and Ellen hosted countless gatherings and holidays filled with conversation, laughter, and love. For five years before his passing, Henry served as Ellen’s caregiver, demonstrating his inner strength, compassion, and sacrifice.

Henry is survived by his two children, Jennifer Lauren Neuhof and Jason Michael Neuhof; Jason’s wife, Jennifer; and their children, Adriana and Maxwell Neuhof. He was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather whose love for his family was unwavering.
