With great sorrow and the deepest love, our family announces the passing of our dear Irwin Louis Brody, affectionately known as Papa. Irwin, of New York City and later Paramus, NJ, passed on May 28, 2026, at the age of 95.

He is survived by his beloved wife Ruth (nee Land), loving daughter Jane Sherwood and her husband Todd, and his precious grandchildren, Brandon and Elena.

Irwin was a member of the 101st Airborne and served his country honorably in active combat in Korea during the Korean War.

What a wonderful clothier at Hirsch Brody where they made great jackets and suits for me around 1970. I worked at Meledandri on the block but bought my clothes from Irwin.!

Always fun to visit and leave better dressed!
