Nora Furman 89 of Roseland formerly of Fair Lawn passed away on January 25, 2026. Nora predeceased by her beloved husband Seymour Furman of 62 years lived a happy and fulfilled life.
She was a devoted mother to Michelle Vanderway and her husband George of Fair Lawn, Paula Stone and her husband Bruce of Livingston.
Her greatest pride and joy came from her grand children Rebecca Vanderway and her husband Kale Novalis, Amanda Vanderway and her husband Patrick Moore, Joshua Stone and his fiancé Susan Walsh, and Brandon Stone and his fiancé Emily Cohen.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend who touched so many lives. Over the past several years she not only became close friends with the residents and staff at Arbor Terrace, Roseland they became her extended family.
We are extremely grateful for the memories we shared and will carry her love with us always.
Following the funeral services and burial Shiva will be at the home of Paula and Bruce Stone, 12 Chadwick Road, Livingston and again in Sunday February 1st from 11-3.

While I did not know Nora well, I feel like I know her intimately through her daughter, Paula. She was an amazing mom and grandmother. She was always kind and welcoming to me and my husband when we would see her at family functions.
I know how Nora was a special part of every family celebration, even as she aged she was always present at Paula and Bruce’s home. She loved her family and she was loved by her family. She will be missed.
May her name be a blessing.
