Dear Jeff and Riley,
Randi was my first friend in Cliffside Park. Had it not been for the sweet baby in her arms, I wouldn’t have stopped to talk to her while I was walking down Oakdene one day in 2018. But your mom was holding you, Riley, and I was pushing Leo in a stroller, so I introduced myself to my fellow baby-toting neighbor that day. Thank goodness I did, because we went on to make such fun memories with each other and our kids: story time at the library, trick-or-treating, playdates at each other’s houses, Covid-era walks with bubble mowers down Anderson, a swim at the pool club, birthday parties, the Little Gym, and so many more. Randi always had a kind word to say and, probably unknowingly, knew how to make me feel special, even when I felt helpless and hopeless in the throes of parenting. She was simply the best.
Leo, Aaron, Bronwen, and I will continue to hold you in our hearts and send all our love your way.
