Robert, 99, a longtime Paramus resident most recently of Cresskill, passed away on March 21, 2026.

Beloved husband of Dorothy, he was literally the boy next door. They were married for 67 years and had known each other for 82 years at the time of her passing at age 89. Together, they enjoyed raising their family and being part of their lives, activities, and celebrations, as well as embarking on their own travel adventures which took them from Alaska to Hawaii, across Europe, and on numerous cruises throughout the Caribbean.

He was very proud of his service in the U.S. Navy throughout the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Upon his return, he earned both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree from the City College of New York before becoming a longtime successful sales and marketing executive in the consumer products and consumer electronics industries. He also co-founded two successful start-up businesses.

Proud father to his son Mitchell and his wife Judy; and his son Russell and his wife Susan. Loving grandfather to Stephanie and her husband David; to Rebecca and her husband Barry; to Dana; and to Jennifer. Devoted great- grandfather to Danica, Hana, Hyatt, and Chelsea. Uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He truly enjoyed family gatherings, life milestones and achievements, and that everybody “was good.”

He was extremely proud of his surname and strove to live up to its meaning during his remarkable run of nearly 100 years with us.

A private graveside service was held for family with interment at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.
