Stephanie Ronnie Schwartz, 83, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on June 24, 2026. She was born on September 11, 1942, in the Bronx, New York, to Mollie and Joseph Chertoff.
Stephanie will be remembered for her warmth, quiet strength, courage, determination, and unwavering devotion to her family. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, resilience, and loving spirit.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernie.
A memorial service will be held on June 26, 2026, at Louis Suburban Jewish Chapel in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
Shiva will be observed at 405 Green Mountain Road, Mahwah, New Jersey, beginning Friday following the burial until 9:00 p.m., and continuing Sunday and Monday from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–9:00 p.m.
The family is deeply grateful for the kindness, support, and expressions of sympathy received during this difficult time.

I met and knew Stephanie, along with her daughter Dawn, through my marriage to her cousin, Carol Bertalot nee Steinberg. I was amazed and impressed by how Stephanie was able to handle physical adversity willingly and with a strong spirit and a cheerful outlook. She was an inspiration to me and anyone who faces the late stages of the aging process! During their visit to our home several years ago on their trip to the East, I offered Stephanie a ride in my 1957 TBird not expecting her to accept because of her frailty but, she surprised me by her determination to overcome her physical limitations! We had a Great ride! Dawn was a poster child for how to care for an aging parent and was a blessing to her Mom at a time when she needed it! She will be missed but, forever remembered!
